Background
Pete Goldschmidt, Ph.D.,
assistant professor of
research methods in the
College of Education at CSUN,
senior researcher for a
national research center at

experience in endurance
sports to create challenging
adventure courses.  As the
former co-race director of
the once-popular scramble
series produced by Hidden
F.E.A.R., Goldschmidt's
primary responsibility was
designing innovative
courses that tested even the
locals' knowledge of the
terrain.

Experience
Over the past 27 years,
Goldschmidt has completed
virtually every race (all but
one)
he has started,
including
the Zane Grey
Highline 50 Mile Run
(arguably the hardest 50 in
the US),
the Western States
100 Mile Run, the Vermont
100 Mile Run, the Mojave
250+ Mile Death Race ('98, '00
'01,'02, for which he also
served as captain or
co-captain of Team Vulture
for three years (2002 2nd
place overall).  Goldschmidt
has completed the World's
Toughest Triathlon in Lake
Tahoe, adventure races,
several Rim to Rim Runs
across Grand Canyon, and
two double Crossings of
Grand Canyon as well.

Goldschmidt's experience
also benefits from search
and rescue operations at
Grand Canyon and Mt.
Kilimanjaro (recipient
thereof....)

Goldschmidt's newest
project is an expedition
company focusing on both
adventure and landscape
photography.
